APPLICATIONS

Demucking/ Sediment Thickening

APS Silt Stop Powders can be used for mud thickening to remove unmanageable muck. Highly saturated soils can be messy and difficult to remove without spilling or dripping. When mixed into sediment, soil-specific Silt Stop polymer will cause the sediment to thicken, allowing for easier removal.

Metal treatment

Metals

Anionic PAM products such as the Floc Log, Silt Stop, and Silt Clear are effective at removing metals from water. Removal efficiencies are metal and site specific and range from 50->95% (averaging ~80%). FLoc Logs are a cost effective, passive metal treatment option for industrial stormwater, construction stormwater, and mining operation.

Floc Log
SiltStop

Phosphorus

Excess nutrients such as phosphorus can cause harm and result in eutrophication of water bodies. It can also result in exceedances of discharge limits and regulatory non-compliance. APS Pond Products and certain Floc Log formulations are effective in removing upwards of 60-85% of phosphorus from water, improving water quality and decreasing nutrient concentrations.

High pH Treatment

pH

High pH can be a challenging problem to overcome in a cost effective, and safe manner. APS pH logs are able to gently and passively decrease pH without dangerous acid feed systems or active treatment measures. APS pH logs work best to make small pH changes using food grade, gentle materials. APS pH logs are useful for construction, industrial, and mining applications, or any water that requires pH limits to be met for discharge.

Suggested Products

Floc Log

Chlorine

APS NoChlor Floc Logs neutralize and decrease pH in flowing water using gentle materials. APS NoChlor Floc Logs are useful for construction, industrial, and municipal applications, or any water that requires economical, easy, and quick chlorine treatment.
